In the summer of 2012, Sophia and Charlotte met while touring their future college, the University of Southern California. Full of small talk and simple formalities, it seemed like a conversation that would be immediately forgotten. They took each others' numbers down to have a friend in the chance they both ended there.

They both enrolled, and on the first day Sophia texted Charlotte inviting her to explore the campus. Three hours later, the idea for a jewelry company came to fruition.

Now graduated, the two work full time for Violeta Jewlery as co-CEOs, with the same spark they had when it started. In addition, they started a "Women Entrepreneurs" fund, focusing on providing young female entrepreneurs with the connections and support they wish they had when they first started.
